"Uki") Gender: Female Age: 131 Zodiac sign: Monkey (chinese) Class: Rojin/Merchant-tinker Symbol Placement: Lower abdomen, right above her navel Likes: Sour things, 'shineys', money, tinkering with stuff, getting what she wants Dislikes: sullen people, pickpockets, tax collectors Description: Kuirna (koo-EAR-na), better known as "Uki", is generally outgoing and friendly. As friendly and optimistic as she is though, when she gets angry she REALLY gets angry. Explosive volcano of doom angry. The good thing is that her anger lasts about as long as her a ttention span, and five minutes later she'll be as sweet and caring as usual. Despite her child-like demeanor she is a very keen businesswoman and has been known to haggle for hours to get what she wants, which is usually not all that expensive to begin with. Her love of money is second only to her love for shiney things. Be they as exquisite as fine jewerly or as mundane as a piece of scrap metal, she'll do almost anything to get her hands on it. Her house is cluttered with everything from children's toys to weapons, many of her own design and making. The only thing Kuirna takes seriously is work. (and even then she isn't that serious >>; ) Because of her love of money, she always looks for the next job. Usually she makes money by selling and taking comissions for her odd inventions, but when times get "harsh" (no business for a few days is harsh to her XD) she'll apply for mercenary jobs or do a little bounty hunting on the side. Don't let her looks fool you, she can kick some serious ass and has been known to use anything she can find as a weapon. (her more frequent customers often talk about the time she defeated an elusive pickpocket with a bowl of fruit) Over all Kuirna enjoys her life, however to her being a Zodiac Mael'Kai is nothing more than a hinderance. Even when she was little she would lie about being one and hide her symbol as best she could. To make sure no one found out about it she began to become a bit of a loner. Even though she's on good terms with many people and considers most of them friends, not a one of them could say they know too m uch about her. She left her hometown soon after she hit puberty, although the reason remains a mystery. Since then she traveled over most of Evora before finally settling down in a small village in a remote desert region. Her nickname "Uki" came from a young child in said village who couldn't pronounce her name right, and it stuck. miscellanious shtuff: "uki" actually comes from "ukiki", which is what monkeys say in japan as far as I know XD "saru" means monkey in, you guessed it, japanese Kuirna works on her "steam cart", a steam-powered land alternative to riding animals or airships, in her spare time. So far she hasn't gotten it to go more than eight feet, but she's convinced it will revolutionize transportation someday.
